The Problem

Medical affairs data development and integration at a top 25 global pharmaceutical company was a highly manual and time consuming process largely handled through spreadsheets.  The effort could only be conducted on a monthly basis and the business needed more up to date insight into how studies were performing.

Move the current Excel heavy process to the new enterprise data environment with files to be processed on a daily basis and all exception and other business rules to be documented and transparent with the ability to be easily changed when required.

In partnership with client experts, Sentier analyzed all the required sources, business rules, and required end reporting structures and developed a fully automated process to build intermediate and final reporting tables.  The results were delivered in stages over a 6 month period.

Medical affairs’ analysts and data professionals now have an additional 60-80 hours a month to respond to business questions and conduct new development efforts to further improve insight into operations.
